What Is Infused Water?
Also called detox water, fruit flavored water, or fruit infused water; infused water can generally be any combination of fruits, vegetables, and herbs immersed in cold water. While infused water has the benefit of being full of flavor, it also has no calories, making it a very powerful tool in your efforts to lose weight and gain better health.
Water is the most important piece to your overall health and well being. Although most people find drinking water to be boring, you can create infused waters. Infused water is a great way to switch up how you intake your water. By simply adding a few vegetables, fruits, or herbs your water will go from boring to amazing infused water in seconds.
The human body is made up of 55-60% water. We naturally lose water throughout the day, which is why we need to replenish our bodies with at least 1.5 litres of fresh water daily. Your body can survive up to 3 weeks without food, but without water, the body can only survive 3-5 days. Yet, we seem to neglect drinking enough water. By the time you feel thirsty, your body has lost more than 1 percent of its total water. Make sure to drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty, and try infused water when you want some extra added benefits along with flavor.
